Through our collaboration with Ytsera Air, 海角论坛 Adult Education is able to bring Ground School to you! Ytsera Air writes, “Ground School at Ytsera Air is the bedrock of your aviation journey. Beyond just theory, our Ground School instills a deep understanding of the science and regulations governing the skies. At Ytsera Air, we believe in structured, comprehensive learning that ensures every student is well-prepared and confident. Here’s a breakdown of what our Ground School journey entails:
Twelve Comprehensive Sessions: Designed to cover the breadth and depth of content featured in the FAA Knowledge test. This rigorous curriculum not only prepares you for the test but also sets a robust foundation for your subsequent Private Pilot training.
Collaborative Group Learning: Benefit from your peers’ collective knowledge and experience. Engaging group sessions foster a collaborative learning environment, allowing students to share insights, ask questions, and learn from each other.
Instructor-Led Q&A Sessions:听Every question is an opportunity to learn. Our Ground School Instructor, also a Certified Flight Instructor, hosts dedicated Q&A sessions to address any queries, ensuring clarity and reinforcing learning.听

Instructor
Sara O’Connor
Ytsera Air, CFI
Sara is a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument and holds a commercial pilot certificate for multi-engine and single-engine airplanes. She also holds a commercial seaplane license. Sara is an adjunct faculty member at Vermont State University in Williston, Vermont, and teaches in the Professional Pilot Technology program. She is a co-founding member of Women in Aviation International – Vermont Chapter and has taught over 12 Private Pilot Ground School sessions since 2023. She has volunteered almost 300 hours for aviation education outreach and participates in Pilots N Paws, which transports rescue animals to their new homes. She has flown to over 65 airports, piloted more than 16 different aircraft types, and is currently working on her Airline Transport License (ATP). She works with 3 other instructors at Caledonia County Airport and trains students for their Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and CFI-I single-engine licenses.听
